I typically would have written another Friday Vibe on music that I have stumbled upon but I just couldn’t this week. I have listened to Joey Bada$$’s All-Amerikkkan Badass and Goldlink’s At What Cost and believe both are amazing projects, but this week I wanted to talk about how music is helping me through a change.

In popular culture, there is continually a debate on whether celebrities are role models. Does Rihanna or Meryl Streep have the right to speak on political matters? Is there an inherent responsibility of popularity, leadership, or influence? Does politics belong in sports, music, art, or entertainment? What’s the unwritten requirement of fame and power? Should people speak up and should we allow it?
Following the themes of this week, how should a Christian act? How should a Christian look? What should he talk about? How should she interact with the world? What should be the mark left in the wake of a person with their heart on God? In truthfulness, this is something that has never been nailed down.
