A Peace Prayer

Hey Papa!

I just wanted to reach out to you again asking for your mercy, grace, and blessings. I’ve talked to so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ and I’ve felt their pain. I’ve heard their struggles, and as the world gets darker, I’ve seen them start to lose hope.

A Simple Prayer

I pray that every person reading this has peace in their heart. May an all-encompassing stillness fall on them to ease their nerves and pain. My love abolish hate and fear. May calm settle their souls. May November bless each and everyone of you with prosperity, wisdom, strength, growth, and much more.

God Bless!

Sailing through the Storm (Pt. 1)

Still water, untouched and unmoved, almost appearing as glass, reaching far beyond the horizon into the unknown. Clear blue skies enable you to see the shore and the wind feels good on your skin. Everything is perfect as you sail out to parts unknown. You can still close your eyes and envision the crowd of loved ones cheering you on as you set out for another quest. Life is good, until it isn’t.

Pray WITHOUT ceasing

I’ve been very transparent about my struggles on here. I even admitted that my posting schedule has dropped significantly because of these struggles. Yesterday, I was talking with a mentee about love, life, and everything in between. God and the concept of prayer came up. While encouraging him through my weakest moments, something I told him resonated with me. Continue reading “Pray WITHOUT ceasing”

Hurricane Harvey & Contradictory Christianity

I’ve been hearing the same sentiments over and over. Online or in person, people have a bad taste in their mouths about Christianity. Why? Because the “Pastors are pimps. “Congregation is judgmental.” and “no one is Christ-like anymore”.

Completing the Bible

It feels good to be back and I am so excited for the changes that should be happening in the future for Everything’s Magnificent. I plan to be back on my daily writing plan and all is right in the world as I head towards my final year as a graduate student at UNC. On the personal side, I’ve accomplished one of my personal life goals. I’ve finished reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelations.

Ultimate Wishes for Changing America Pt. 1

Yesterday I wrote about Religious Bystanders in Politics and racked my brain thinking of the different fields that need immediate change. Last week, a close friend asked me if I had the power to make anything I say come true without consequence, what would I do?

Religious Bystanders in Politics

This weekend I spent a lot of time just existing. It’s good to take some time off of writing to recharge the battery and refill the heart. In the midst of that, I found myself hurting. The more stories I read of misfortune, the more my heart hurts. I really question shouldn’t every Christian feel the same?
