Today’s post goes out to the lovely Mikeala R., a co-worker from my summer job and an all around amazing poet. She’s asked me about men’s opinions on women’s hair. Hair on their head, brought or grown, body, etc., So, I decided to tackle this question for the culture. Let’s get into it!
Today’s post is dedicated to my pledge daughter Faby, who is all around amazing and is going into finals right now! Send her blessings and positive vibes to her on Twitter @iFabylous Continue reading “Reader’s Choice: Faith is Surrender”
Today is a day of celebration for me! Even a day earlier than planned, I have reached my 100th post on Everything’s Magnificent since my restart in November! To celebrate, I just wanted to say thank you.
Why is religion such a taboo topic? Why do so many people have an aversion to hearing about spirituality, whether Christian or not? Why is it that everyone can listen to music with sex, drugs, violence, love, and friendship but God is going too far? Why is religion such a divisive subject for anyone to approach.
In the midst of the increasingly chaotic and toxic world, I’ve been really trying to think about my plans of action in a positive manner. Plan of Action – Education spoke on the misconceptions we have on proper education and new ways to think. I want to propose a new way to think about family.
A few weeks ago, my friend @stylerepublik (ig/snapchat) was telling me about her wanting to start doing something tangible to affect her community. She recently has been putting a lot of thought into improving literacy and exposure to great works. She wants to start a book club and here’s the thinking where you can start any community program and examples using a book club.
I responded to questions that the lovely @stylerepublik brought up over the past few days to culminate my thoughts. I truly believe there are a few things that must be central to our progression in the political realm AND development as people. The most central tenants we need to focus on are self-improvement, group accountability, awareness, and not letting helplessness or apathy set in. We can do it.
Originally this was going to be one post but the sections got so long that I decided to write my thoughts about each of my target improvement sections: Education, Media, Religion, Financial, Entrepreneurship, Political, Healthcare, Community, Self, Family
This is part 2 of my response to my friend China (@stylerepublik on Snap and IG) and her thoughts on what are we going to do now that Lex Luthor and his Legion of Doom are running the United States. See part one here.
Today, one of my close friends, China @stylerepublik on Snap and IG, took to the digital airwaves and spoke her peace about her thoughts on what are we going to do now that Lex Luthor and his Legion of Doom are now in control of the United States. She asked a lot of thought provoking questions and I decided to answer as many of her questions as possible. Check her out!! Continue reading “Reader’s Choice: What now? (Inauguration Day) Pt.1”
