I’ve been taking a good amount of time out to develop myself as a person to truly be able to write anything helping others out. So, starting both blogs at the same time. Lessons in Class and milesthemagnificent.wordpress.com. I am inspired and finally feel like I can get a lot of my thoughts out to you.
I am creating this blog as declaration of image. I always had an appreciation for an elegance or class that my lower middle class up-bringing could not provide. Ever since I learned how to tie a tie, I’ve owned hundreds of ties of different colors and designs. I was given the notion that a tie is equivalent to a woman’s dress. You need one for every occasion.
But, class is not just the clothes you wear. Class is how you carry yourself, what you say, how you act and a state of mind. I feel that class is something that is lost amongst my own generation. I am not saying that I am there myself but I find myself living in a tact-less, unkept and lost world where the men are like women and the women are like men.
Men these days lack direction, dreams and the ability to be a man. No, I am not advocating for women to fall to the bottom rung of society because you ladies are the lifeblood of our society. However, I am saying, just because women are stepping up the the challenges of life, that men shouldn’t back down, become passive and remain the perpetual “man-child” forever. Even the most independent woman loves a man that knows how to take control and guide the things in his life.
So, welcome to Lessons in Class where I will put my mediations on music, art, fashion, society and life all based around finding where tradition, class, elegance and modern day life come together. Until next time.
